Ken Kirkpatrick Software, the largest publisher of personalization software, has released The Sands of Time, an easy-to-use Windows program that produces a suitable-for-framing keepsake memento that commemorates people's birthdays, anniversaries, and other special days. With just a few keystrokes, The Sands of Time prints a full-color listing of 25 events that happened throughout history on that day. With its huge database of 200+ events for every day of the year, you can produce printouts for employees, clients, or business colleagues, year after year, and each printout will be unique.
Simply choose the date, select the event (birthday, anniversary, business, or other), enter an optional tag line, choose the background for the printout, select the number of copies to print, and click the "print" button. In seconds, The Sands of Time produces a stunning, personalized printout of historical events that took place on that day.
The Sands of Time's built-in email processor lets you create an Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) file that you can send to a friend or client. To make it easy to send multiple e-mails, you can automate the processing, including the selection of the emails' subject line, body text, and signature.
To enhance the program's efficiency, entrepreneurs and fund raisers can create a list of birthdays or anniversaries, and run an entire batch at a time. The Sands of Time is fully customizable. The built-in spell-checker can be set to American English or British English. The color and size of the font used in alternate tag lines are user-selectable. Even the placement of the words and images on the page can be micro-adjusted, to accommodate a variety of paper sizes.
In just a few minutes, a user with no prior computer experience can learn to operate the program and create the printouts.
