GsLantern EASY! helps to distribute documents in standard formats compatible to any computer system, and the internet. It reduces the danger to distribute computer viruses or hidden information unintentionally. GsLantern EASY! transfers Windows and MS Office files (DOC, XLS, PPT, SNP, TXT, BMP etc.) uncomplicated to PDF, TIFF, JPEG or PNG, or performs an extraction of TEXT information (ASCII). Also instant view of the tranformation result and immediate mail sending is included. Numerous options to fine tune the transformation result are available, such as graphics resolution reduction, graphics and text anti aliasing, Web-optimization, and HTML representation. The program is optimized for simplest operation. Just select the files to convert within the Windows Explorer and use drag&drop with the GsLantern EASY! program window, or use the Windows Explorer context menu 'Send to...' option. Mass throughput is supported. You can select a (nearly) unlimitied number of files or use wildcards in command line operation. GsLantern EASY! can be used for semiprofessional storage tasks. Definition of a seperate target directory (including LAN network shares) for every target format, the Windows scheduler operation using command line control, and ASCII text extraction for index file creation is possible. - Technically, GsLantern EASY! is a GUI frontend for the free GhostScript program, but automates the PostScript creation step completely. GsLantern EASY! moreover refines the possibilities of GhostScript by batch processing, HTML generation, mail sending, immediately view, and more. GsLantern EASY! comes complete with installation program. The necessary installation of GhostScript and PostScript driver is supported by an assistant.
