AceCat is a disk cataloging tool that can generate and store catalogs of your disks or directories in an Archive for future off-line searching, browsing and managing, even those disks are not available. You can search all your cataloged disks at one time without inserting and ejecting them from your Drive frequently!
Speed is a big matter searching hundreds of thousands of files in a dozen of Archives at one time. Don't be worry! AceCat has a Search Center with a extremely high searching speed! AceCat can check more than 5,000 record every second with complex searching conditions!
AceCat can even store comments and thumbnails which are automatically generated. You can even find Programs with Specific Name, Vendor and Version, Pictures with Specific Size Ranges with the help of automatically generated comments!
Thumbnails can help you get impressions of graphical files, such as bitmaps, icons, even the icon of an application! The thumbnail view in the Archive Explorer and Search Center can tile these thumbnails.
AceCat also supports plugins, so the functions and recognizable file types of AceCat can be extended by plugins very easily.
With these functions, you can easily and directly pick out the file you want from a drawer of CDs!
AceCat also has other useful functionalities such as category management, disk state descriptor, archive updating, archive auto-description, foldable interface, drive monitor (auto-catalog), directory report generator, import/export archives, built-in file preview, integrated with system, Explorer-like browser and searcher......, and a lot more!
